Our Founder

As the founder of Stratégie LLC and Ascent Leadership, Dean Stewart has been a transformative strategic leadership consultant for organizations throughout North America, including notable work with the Green Bay Packers. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Stewart was honored as Most Valuable Mentor (MVM) in 2020 for his work within the Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protége program.

Dr. Stewart boasts a rich academic background, having earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in history from St. Norbert College, his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and his Doctor of Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Additionally, he holds a certificate in design thinking from MIT.

His professional journey encompasses roles in both the public and private sectors. Starting in sales and marketing, Dr. Stewart transitioned into operations and subsequently held several executive leadership positions in diverse industries such as building materials, renewables, higher education, and leadership and organizational development.

Dean has served on the boards of and been involved with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay (board chair), Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, Envision Green Bay, the Bay Area Workforce Development Board, the Brown County United Way Basic Needs & Self-Sufficiency Impact Council, and the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Stewart is an enthusiastic traveler, avid reader, and crossword puzzle addict. He resides in DePere with his wife Annie, but frequently retreats to his cottage to savor moments with his four adult children, their spouses, and two amazing grandchildren. He also owns a very naughty dog, Walter.

In addition to our other innovative programs, Ascent Leadership hosts the ChangeMakers Collective (CMC); a peer advisory group designed exclusively for Non-profit Executives.

The CMC is a transformative platform where non-profit leaders come together, share experiences, and cultivate innovative solutions. Our community is built on the pillars of collaboration, expertise and support, providing a unique space for executives to enhance their leadership skills, navigate challenges, and drive impactful change in the nonprofit sector.

Format

The ChangeMakers Collective convenes seven times annually. These strategic and purpose-driven meetings are spaced throughout the year to provide you with ample time to implement the insights gained, collaborate on initiatives, and share your successes and challenges.

There are separate roundtable groups for CEO/Executive Directors and VP/Director/Senior Managers to support the specific needs of each leadership segment.
